Harper
Owner of Pole Des Moines
Originally a KCMO resident, and retired exotic dancer of 7 years. Harper's love for pole was sparked within the clubs, and ever since she has been inspired to teach others the flow and beauty of pole. She and her partner travel throughout the US, incorporating pole into nature, setting up stage poles and flying poles in forests for photography. This lead to hosting Pole In the Park events, where anyone and everyone could watch and participate in pole dancing, lyra, flying pole, and silks, so that they may be impacted by how wonderful this form of dance is! Harper is raising aerial awareness and breaking down social stereotypes. She has taught people of all ages and genders how to pole, as pole is for everyone!
Chelsea
Chelsea has been a part of the Des Moines pole community since 2013. She started her pole journey at TGR Fitness in Ankeny, where she grew as a pole instructor starting in 2016 until they closed their doors in January of 2024. She also has many years of experience competing professionally around the Midwest and abroad. Chelsea is passionate about training safely in order to prevent injury. She works hard to meet students at their current level to help them learn badass tricks. Her specialty is spin pole and strength tricks.
Aja
Originally from Davenport, Iowa, Aja joined the Iowa National Guard at the age of 17 in 2018. After finishing her basic training and AIT in March of 2020 she began looking for activities to pass the time and get active again. Finally, in August of 2020, she found pole and twerk out classes at Pole Haus Fitness in Davenport. She was always a dancer so pole and twerk out felt like a natural way of working out for her. She moved to Des Moines in 2021 and found the aerial community and it changed her life. She became a better pole dancer because of Love Life Pole Studio and of course because of Felicia and is now confident enough to teach others to do it as well.
Sam
Gaining a strong passion of expression through movement from dance in her early childhood, Sam sought out Love Life Pole Studio to continue her love for dance! She has an extensive traditional dance background consisting of ballet/pointe, tap, jazz, and hip-hop; dancing actively since the age of 5. The discovery of pole dance reignited the spark in her, and she is thrilled to share that with anyone who would like to learn!
Carly
Carly began her pole dance journey in 2022 at TGR Fitness, quickly falling in love with the unique blend of physical exercise, artistic expression, and the supportive community it fosters. Since then, she has competed in two Pole Sport Organization competitions, embracing the challenges of concept development, refining her tricks, and the rush of performing on stage. Although she doesn’t come from a traditional dance background, she firmly believes that everyone can become a dancer with dedication and guidance. Carly is committed to helping her students discover their own artistic voices and achieve their goals in a fun and encouraging environment.
Siren
Siren began her pole journey in August of 2024. She had an interest in pole since the age of 16 and one day found Love Life Pole Studio and it opened up a whole new world for her! She trained avidly at home and attended classes as often as possible! She stepped into the world of performing in April 2025 (only 8 months into her pole journey!) She can’t wait to keep the show going. As someone who struggled with mental health and self expression, pole has completely changed her life. Pole has become her therapy whether that means slowly flowing around to sad music or bringing out the hard tricks to some metal. She loves going outside the box when it comes to dance styles and exploring them all! There is no right or wrong when it comes to dancing and she feels blessed to help EVERYONE along the way!
