Our Team
Felicia (The Owner)
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I graduated from California State University Long Beach in 2015 with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering. In 2018, I walked into a Romance and Dance Pole Studio and my life forever changed. I went from 230 lbs. to 160 lbs. in one year, just dancing and having fun. Pole changed my life in all the best ways, and I want to help others experience those positive changes as well. I loved what pole did for my mental health, my confidence and my biceps! Certified pole fitness instructor, with 2 years of teaching experience in Los Angeles and 3 years of teaching experience in Iowa,
Carly
Carly began her pole dance journey in 2022 at TGR Fitness, quickly falling in love with the unique blend of physical exercise, artistic expression, and the supportive community it fosters. Since then, she has competed in two Pole Sport Organization competitions, embracing the challenges of concept development, refining her tricks, and the rush of performing on stage. Although she doesn’t come from a traditional dance background, she firmly believes that everyone can become a dancer with dedication and guidance. Carly is committed to helping her students discover their own artistic voices and achieve their goals in a fun and encouraging environment.
Tatiana
Tatiana began her pole fitness journey in 2022, but her dance journey began in 2009, when she was just three years old. Tatiana started learning pole under the fabulous Amber Cahill and her team at TGR fitness, in Ankeny Iowa, until its closing in January of 2024. While training in Ankeny, Tatiana’s lengthy dance background allowed her to rapidly excel in the art of pole fitness, reaching pro levels. She showcased her talents on the big stage for the first time in October of 2023, receiving a standing ovation. After getting a taste of all the magic that the pole world has to offer, her passion to become a professional pole dancer and instructor flourished. Tatiana is all about physical activity, but more importantly, expressive movement. She believes that the amount we move and how we do so directly correlates to the quality of our everyday lives, and that simply moving our bodies to instrumentals that make us FEEL can be super beneficial. It is Tatiana’s mission to use her expertise in traditional dance to help students not only improve on the pole, but off of it as well. She focuses on adding style and grace to the tricks and combos that she teaches. In Tatiana’s classes, you will be exposed to plenty of beginner, intermediate, and advanced tricks, flips, and turns. Along with full body warm-up’s and stretches, pole conditioning exercises, cool downs, unique music genres and proper dance terminology. Tatiana believes everyone should experience the magic of dance, no matter what. If you’re looking for a challenge, some good music, and a great time, join Tatiana for class!!
Aja
Originally from Davenport, Iowa, I joined the Iowa National Guard at the age of 17 in 2018. After finishing basic training and AIT in March of 2020 I started looking for things to pass the time and get me active again. I didn’t really find anything until August of 2020 when I found pole and twerk out classes at Pole Haus Fitness in Davenport. I was always a dancer so pole and twerk out felt like a natural way of working out. I moved to Des Moines in 2021 and found the aerial community and they’ve changed my life. I’m a better pole dancer because of them and of course because of Felicia and now I am confident enough to teach others to do it as well.
Harper (New Co-Owner)
Originally a KCMO resident, and retired exotic dancer of 7 years. My love for pole was sparked within the clubs, and ever since I've been inspired to teach others the flow and beauty of pole. My partner and I travel throughout the US, incorporating pole into nature, setting up our stage pole and flying pole in forests for photography. This lead to us hosting Pole In the Park events, where anyone and everyone could watch and participate in pole dancing, lyra, flying pole, and silks, so that they may be impacted by how wonderful this form of dance is! We wanted to raise awareness of this artform and break down social stereotypes. I have taught people of all ages and genders pole, for pole is for everyone! As a self taught dancer, I understand the complications and sufferings our passions may bring, but anything is possible with enough patience and willingness to learn.
Vita
Vita was born in Waterloo, IA with a passion for dance and creative expression. Her experience begins in elementary where she participated in cheer squads and dance teams up until high school. Vita faced hardships as a teen which made her gain weight. After graduating, Vita began to prioritize her health with weightlifting, pilates & yoga. In 2023, Vita moved to Des Moines where she found Love Life Pole… “Dancing has always been an escape for me. Free flowing & allowing my body to move not only benefits my body, but my mind. My favorite style of dance is freestyle. I first stepped foot into love life pole October of 2023 , & immediately fell in love with the studio space & instructors. Felicia, Harper, Aja, Holly, Tristabel, Chelsea & Tatiana has done an amazing job in creating a space where anyone can thrive & build confidence.”

Holly
After spending the past several years abroad in Asia, I am excited to be back in Iowa where I was born and raised. I started pole dancing in 2018 while overseas and immediately fell in love with it. Not only has pole dancing helped me become stronger than I have ever been before, through pole dance I became more confident and learned to love myself. As an instructor, I enjoy fostering this same self-love in my students, and believe in creating a safe and inclusive environment where we can all safely express ourselves, have fun, and (of course) feel sexy.
Paige
A self taught dancer, Paige started with pole in 2020 and quickly fell in love with the challenge and the variety pole has to offer. She performed a showcase at Pole Sport Organization in Chicago of 2022 and upgraded her dancing repertoire with her favorite apparatus, the lollipop, in 2023. Paige loves the flow of all types of movement; yoga, pole, lyra, lollipop, silks and calisthenics as well.
Sam
Gaining a strong passion of expression through movement in oneself from dance growing up, it led me to seek out Love Life Pole Studio to continue my love for dance! Having an extensive traditional dance background consisting of ballet/pointe, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and lyrical has given me such a well-rounded perspective of how differently you can control your own body. After dance actively being in my life since I was 5 years old, I had missed and neglected this part of my life that gave me so much joy before I started my full-time career. The discovery of pole dance reignited the spark in me, and I am thrilled to share that with anyone who would like to learn!
Chelsea
Chelsea has been a part of the Des Moines pole community since 2013. She started her pole journey at TGR Fitness in Ankeny, where she grew as a pole instructor starting in 2016 until they closed their doors in January of 2024. She also has many years of experience competing professionally around the Midwest and abroad. Chelsea is passionate about training safely in order to prevent injury. She works hard to meet students at their current level to help them learn badass tricks. Her specialty is spin pole and strength tricks.
